Rancho ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a Chrome browser extension that helps users analyze real estate investment properties on Zillow. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our extension.

We do not collect any personal information.
The extension processes the following data locally on your device:
- Property Data: When you click the Rancho button on a Zillow page, the extension reads publicly available property information (price, address, size, etc.) directly from the webpage to perform calculations.
- User Preferences: Your custom settings (down payment percentage, interest rate, tax rates, etc.) are stored locally in Chrome's storage.
- Notion Credentials: If you choose to use the Notion integration, your Notion API token and database ID are stored locally in Chrome's storage on your device.
How We Use Information
All data processing happens locally on your device:
- Property data is used solely to calculate cashflow and investment metrics
- Your preferences are used to customize calculations
- Notion credentials are used only to save data to your own Notion database when you explicitly click "Add to Notion"
Data Sharing
We do not share, sell, or transmit any data to third parties.
The only external communication occurs when:
- You explicitly click "Add to Notion" - the extension sends your property analysis to the Notion API using your own credentials, directly to your own database
Data Storage
All data is stored locally using Chrome's built-in storage API:
- Data never leaves your device except when you choose to save to Notion
- You can clear all stored data by removing the extension
- No data is stored on our servers (we don't have any servers)
Third-Party Services
The extension interacts with:
- Zillow.com: To read publicly available property information from pages you visit
- Notion API: Only if you configure and use the Notion integration, to save data to your own database
Your Rights
You have full control over your data:
- You can view and modify your settings at any time through the extension popup
- You can delete all stored data by removing the extension from Chrome
- You can choose not to use the Notion integration
Children's Privacy
This extension is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age.
